Tip 1: Route Planning

It is always advised to plan your route before heading out to the desert. Whether it’s a Buggy or Quad Tour, we put in a great deal of time and effort in route planning. This allows us to ensure that we can present the most exciting experience, all while ensuring the safety of our drivers and riders as well. As part of our goal to present the most exciting and pleasurable experience to our customers, our routes are planned to cross known and iconic desert locations, including Al Qudra Lakes, Fossil Rock, and many more!

Tip 2: Vehicle Awareness

Knowing a few things about your buggy or quad before you begin your tour can go a long way in making your journey a lot more exciting. Understanding the limits of your vehicle can also help you stay safe and avoid problems, making the experience smoother and less risky.

At SAZ, we offer a premium selection of Polaris off-road vehicles. Our RZR Turbo R buggies come fitted with a wide range of safety and performance features. Our Sportsman 570 Quads also present a fair share of features, including; On-Demand AWD, 11.5″ GROUND CLEARANCE, and Automatic PVT In-line ShiftingTransmission.

With SAZ’s outstanding vehicles and expert guidance, your adventure is guaranteed to be a blast!

Tip 3: Speed And Momentum

The Dubai desert’s terrain is quite abstract, consisting of soft sands and varying elevations. Therefore, whether it’s a quad or a buggy, maintaining your speed and momentum can be a critical factor in desert driving.

Driving too slow makes the rear end of your buggy or quad slide down due to gravity pulling downwards as a result of low momentum. If you cannot go up the dune, always come back down.

Tip 4: Vehicle Control

Knowing a few things about your buggy or quad before you begin your tour can go a long way in making your journey a lot more exciting. Understanding the limits of your vehicle can also help you stay safe and avoid problems, making the experience smoother and less risky.

At SAZ, we offer a premium selection of Polaris off-road vehicles. Our RZR Turbo R buggies come fitted with a wide range of safety and performance features. Tip 5: Read The Dunes!

When driving on dunes, it’s important to know where to enter and exit them properly. Modified vehicles may be able to approach larger dunes at more speed, whereas stock buggies or quads may not have the power or suspension travel to complete the climb.

Dunes naturally change in form due to the wind. Therefore, you always need to identify where the peak of the dune is and where the drops are.

We generally advise riders to avoid going straight over the dune. Always approach and depart the dune at an angle as opposed to driving straight into and out of the dune! Our buggies and quads come fitted with state-of-the-art suspension and FOX® 3.0 Live Valve X2 Internal Bypass Shocks for excellent clearance which promises a reliable and capable driving experience.

Tip 6: Driving in Convoys

If you are driving in the desert in groups, it’s important to always follow the tracks of the lead buggy/quad. Always follow the leader’s hand signals and repeat the same hand signal to pass it on to the Buggy/Quad behind you.

Tip 7: Refrain From Recording While Driving

Always refrain from recording while driving your vehicle. Instead, you can either use a GoPro Camera or have a passenger record you or your drive.

Tip 8: Preserve Our Playground

Ensure you preserve the desert’s environment by not littering and being aware of the desert’s wildlife. Since the desert is our playground, we have a responsibility towards conserving it, in turn empowering the activity or sport we all enjoy.

By following the tips we’ve highlighted, you’ll not only amplify the thrill of your off-road escapades but also ensure your safety. Embrace the unknown, conquer new terrains, and let the adrenaline rush ignite unforgettable memories. Your off-road journey awaits— explore and make every adventure a story worth sharing!
